Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week (9 am - 5.30 pm)

About You
  • You will be an experienced Head of HR and Recruitment with a proven track record of experience working within a HR leadership role
  • You will have a proven track record of supporting the successful building of teams, creating a positive work culture, reducing attrition helping to underpin company growth and gain success as an employer of choice
  • You will be looking for a new long-term role, coordinating a small HR department in a growing and exciting business
  • You will be primarily people-process focused, a compliance minded professional, developing procedures that drive objective recruitment decisions and performance management that maximise good fit, productivity, positive culture and employee engagement
  • You will have the ability to build high profile relationships quickly
  • You will possess strong presentation, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will be a creative problem solver and are able to analyses a problem skilfully, formulate a logical rationale for the decision and take action
  • Your senior level experience will mean that you are comfortable with complexity and are aware of the impact and implications of reputational decisions on other components of the organisation, making sure that a plan is in place and all stakeholders are informed at all time
  • You will be able to demonstrate smart risk-taking

  • You will be able to demonstrate the organisational ability to facilitate multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

Job purpose

We are looking to appoint an experienced Head of HR and Recruitment to join our growing and innovative business. You will be responsible for leading and shaping our team, overseeing and handling all people-process related matters, ensuring the business remains compliant to legal requirements.

You will provide expert advice and support to managers and team members on all aspects of people management, and work to position us as an employer of choice.

HR
  • Lead and Develop the HR team, consisting of our In-House Recruiter, HR Advisor and an external Compliance Advisor (part time)
  • Provide day to day advice and support to line managers on all human resource subjects: management of people, remuneration, etc
  • Develop strong, trusted partnerships with the exec and senior leadership team to provide objective advice and support
  • Develop and implement an annual agenda for HR strategy in line with the business plan
  • Ensure HR plans support the needs of the business but are also flexible enough to cope with changes in the organisation, as and when they occur
  • Ensure all Job Descriptions are kept up to date, create new JDs as and when necessary
  • Deal with any performance or grievance issues in a legally compliant and professional way
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and legally compliant


Additional Duties
  • Help to drive continuous improvement and actively contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation
  • Attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required
  • Any other duties that may be deemed necessary

  • A proven track record of experience working within a HR leadership role
  • Degree, CIPD qualified
  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management
  • Experienced in policy development in the UK and Ireland
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Report writing on HR insights and metrics
  • Skills in innovation and continuous improvement of practices and processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confident presenter and public speaker
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
