Human Resources Shared Services Manager

Position Summary

 

The HR Shared Services Manager serves as the subject matter expert shared HR functions including Payroll, Benefits, Leaves of Absence administration, Compliance and Audit. This individual will collaborate with members of HR, business groups and internal and external auditors on initiatives, processes, and audits relating to HR.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Oversee the 401k plan, including record keeping, reporting, plan audits, and 5500 filing
  2. Manage the medical insurance plans including Open Enrollment, file feeds and 5500 filing
  3. Responsible for overseeing the bi-weekly Payroll through ADP
  4. Manage payroll escalations including supplemental payrolls, expatriate payroll processing, overseeing garnishments, fund transfers, etc.
  5. Manage Leaves of Absences including FMLA, STD and LTD administration
  6. Act as a point of contact for HRIT setup escalations
  7. Oversee the electronic I9 system - LawLogix
  8. Ensure compliance to all federal, state and local laws with regard to HR/employment related topics
  9. Evaluate, enhance and implement best practices across the HR team that drive compliance and positive audit results
  10. Partner with internal and external auditors to complete audits in a timely and accurate manner and provide required reporting
  11. Manage the entire ACA Process and audit 1095C, 1094C, DD reporting and any new regulation connected to ACA.
  12. Document and implement improvements of department processes, procedures and audits in order to improve effectiveness
  13. Promote and lead the standardization of HR processes; identifies and implements process improvements
  14. Work with all relevant HR process owners and ensure that interactions are documented and hand-offs are processed correctly
  15. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a minimum of 5 years of overall Human Resources experience is required

 

Experience:  

 

  • Minimum of five years experience in Human Resources management.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies, processes and best practices as well as passion for enterprise-wide HR audit and compliance practices
  • Excellent project coordination and delivery experience is essential in addition to the ability to navigate around potential roadblocks throughout the organization
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively partner with multiple areas of the business at all levels
  • Ability to review and analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations
  • Experience with evaluating HR-related technologies and systems for process improvements

Licenses and Certifications:

  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.

 

Specialized Skills:

·         Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, workplace practices, RWC policies, procedures, regulation or federal/state government law.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • This position will be primarily in an office environment but may also include time in the warehouse, manufacturing plant and other locations.
  • Minimal travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

·         Job requires both sitting and standing and agile flexibility to move and connect equipment in various set-ups. Excellent vision, hearing, speech and motor skills are required to perform essential functions of the job.
