Brief Description
We are recruiting for an exceptional Senior Maintenance Operator to serve our Vista Ridge Pipeline near Austin, TX. This individual will perform a variety of skilled maintenance work in maintaining and repairing water pipelines, treatment facilities, well sites and pumping stations including all mechanical and fabrication aspects of related equipment and machinery.
Detailed Description

• Maintains pumps, piping, tanks, valves, switches, diesel generators at groundwater treatment plants along with well sites, booster stations and reservoirs.
• Performs operation, maintenance and control work on control of water plants, chlorination equipment, pump control valves, various pressure control valves; adjusts system to meet specific demands; replaces pump packing and mechanical seals; repairs hydrostatic drives for pumps; repairs and troubleshoots air compressors and vacuum pumps; maintains voltage and oil supply in pumps and auxiliary equipment.
• Installs and makes repairs on water lines, valves, and other components of pump stations.
• Repairs chlorinating and metering equipment.
• Performs construction and fabrication at work sites.
• Maintains daily work records and logs. Oversees proper preventative maintenance procedures and schedules maintenance; maintains records pertaining to maintenance schedules, including activities, labor and cost using computerized maintenance management system.
• May operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, trenchers, bucket-lifts, small vac-equipment, and dump trucks.
• Maintain spare parts and supplies for all plant and auxiliary station equipment.

Job Requirements
· Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience with field maintenance, water and/or WW plant maintenance, or other mechanical maintenance experience. Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of pumps, compressors, engines and related equipment at a water or WW utility or industry.

· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

· Backflow certification is preferred and will be required within 1 year of hire.

· Demonstrated proficiency in CMMS including creating orders, tracking and printing work orders.

· Experience and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

· Must demonstrate willingness and ability to increase knowledge in maintenance area operations including equipment operation and use.
