  • The main purpose of this role is to provide technical administrative support and conduct basic technical data analysis, simulations, and research under the supervision of seniors to ensure the delegated tasks are completed as per expectations, whilst ensuring on the job learning.


    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Technical Support

    • Provide technical administrative support to senior colleagues by maintaining and analyzing technical data, providing basic factual research, and preparing documentation/ presentations/ reports in order to provide timely and efficient services and learn from the experiences.
    • Contact external vendors, start-up companies, etc., with simple technical requests for information or following actions to gain input on a related task.
    • Prepare periodic briefings and reports for managers, using findings from the research in order to help senior management make decisions based on the analysis and research.
    • Assist in compiling relevant information for simple / less complex bids under the guidance and supervision of seniors in order to understand the basics of responding to a technical bid.

    Development of Performance Tools

    ·      Programme, code and maintain the IT software platform for the plant performance model, technical intranet and other tools used by the Technical Services department to ensure they are tailor-made and fit-for-purpose for ACWA Power’s usage.

    Document Management System

    • Manage the registration, classification, storage, version control, tracking, filing and transmission of electronic files and physical paper copies, engineering and project papers, licenses and other controlled documents as required by the function.
    • Provide adequate training and assistance to the users of the intranet to help them understand the features related to uploading, capturing, and locating electronic information.

    Administrative support

    • Conduct basic data entry and processing tasks as required by the team to increase overall efficiency.
    • Update all the software and apply for license renewals in a timely manner ensuring all the relevant documentation and approvals are in place as per the required standards.

    Policies and Procedures

    • Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.


    QUALIFICATIONS:


    Minimum Qualifications:

    ·      Relevant Bachelor Degree in Engineering

    Minimum Experience:

    • 1-4 years of experience in Power /Utility companies
    • Data analysis skills
    • Software programming skills
    • Basic understanding of plant performance metrics / KPIs
    • Strong analytical thinking and research capability
    • Interest in developing technical expertise in one or more disciplines/ fields.
