The role of the Academic Quality Improvement Project Officer is to provide high level administrative and operational support to project activities related to this role. The primary focus of this role is to provide administrative support, within a designated Program cluster, to ensure effective academic planning and administration of matters relating to course management. The position reports to the General Manager – Educational Performance and Business Operations, who will provide broad outlines of direction.

Your key accountabilities will be to:

Supporting the continued implementation of the Educational Excellence Framework,

Reviewing the quality and compliance of teacher vocational competency and currency matrices and then supporting individual teachers to strengthen matrices as required,

Working with delivery area teaching staff to undertake courseware redevelopment work as outlined in the Delivery Area QIP Action Plan,

Assisting with reviewing and analysing qualification courseware, undertaking individual course risk assessment,

Assisting with the preparation of a range of regular and adhoc reports, documentation, papers and submissions,

Providing assistance with meeting support including, preparation, minutes, agendas and document dissemination,

Liaising with internal and external bodies as required.

ABOUT YOU

You will bring the following skills and experience with you:

Diploma or above in a vocational discipline (Education, Learning Design) Business, Administration / IT / Project Management) or similar

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment

Demonstrated experience in following project management and providing administrative support

Proven experience in providing curriculum development support

Demonstrated experience and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint

High level evaluation and decision making skills

In addition to this you will enjoy working collaboratively within a diverse team, be highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
