    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Lead the discovery process with stakeholders to identify business requirements and expected outcomes
    • Subject matter expert in Mobivity’s data offerings, ability to work with leadership to identify opportunities that leverages our data
    • Make strategic recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements by incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices
    • Design experiments, test hypotheses and build models
    • Develop innovative and effective approaches to solving analytic problems
    • Communicate results and methodologies used to stakeholders in easy to understand terms
    • Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to build, maintain and improve decision systems
    • Identify and create the appropriate algorithms to discover patterns and support predictive analysis
    • Ensure expected outcomes are understood and analysis strengthens use cases
    • Ensure information stored and exposed to end users is in compliance with regulatory and security policies
    • Work closely with Data Engineers and Developers to enhance data quality
    • Communicate to the organization our data principles and the math behind processes to drive organization buy-in
    • Provide on-going tracking and monitoring of performance of decision systems and statistical models, recommending improvements to methods and algorithms
    • Lead the design and deployment of enhancements and fixes to systems as needed

     

    Desired Skills & Qualifications

     

    • Masters degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or related field; PHD degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of relevant quantitative and qualitative research and analytics experience
    • Solid knowledge of statistical techniques
    • Ability to create solutions loosely defined by business problems by leveraging pattern detection over large datasets
    • Strong SQL and Python scripting skills
    • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and tools (Data Pipeline, Redshift, EMR clusters, EC2, S3, Firehose, Kinesis, QuickSight)
    • Experience using machine learning algorithms
    • High proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing and optimization algorithms
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience leading teams
    • In-depth industry/business knowledge
