Planet Forward are working with a leading European Software and Professional Services Provider of Enterprise Applications. They are currently looking to recruit a full time Project Manager to join the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with a background in Retail. The role will involve leading a team of business and technical consultants and systems engineers and also liaising with 3rd party suppliers. You will be responsible for delivering projects from analysis stage through to implementation and hand-over, the typical project lasting between 9 and 12 months with a mix of work on client site and in their offices in Buckinghamshire. Your role will also involve financial accountability for delivery and creating, identifying & realising opportunities for on-sell of their services.
Looking for recent experience of project managing the implementation of either ERP, Merchandise Management or EPoS systems. The role requires the following qualities:
- At least 5 years’ experience in implementing or managing retail systems projects
- Good understanding of business processes
- Excellent client facing skills
- Management skills
- Commercial awareness
- Good understanding of the relationship between internal departments, suppliers and customers
- Available to travel within UK and Internationally
- Appreciation of IT systems and infrastructures
- Self-motivated and hard working
- Ability to understand business requirements and to translate those to the software
- Good written and communication skills
