Maxim Integrated is seeking an enthusiastic Software Engineer with experience in Graphical User Interface (GUI) technologies and application development. This position is in Maxim Mikroelektronik Tasarim ve Gelistirme Ltd. Sti., which is located in Istanbul, Turkey, and a fully owned subsidiary of Maxim Integrated.

Job Description

Responsibilities of a Software Engineer, User Interface Technologies may include, but are not limited to:

• Be responsible for designing graphical user interface software, developing new products that will sustain the software and engineering testing and making sure that it meets or exceeds the clients' requirements,
• Seamlessly coordinate with internal clients, colleagues, and the project management team to discuss the exact requirements,
• Be able to visualize the scope of the project and assist in development and implementation,
• Perform the technical planning, architect and develop graphic user interface software that will support the client or projects requirements,
• Ensure proper software development, testing, debugging, integration and documentation
• Work in coordination with the team of development and quality assurance engineers to make sure that it passes and sustains all the validation standards,
• Identify and recommend improvements to existing graphical user interface solutions within Maxim,
• Be an excellent communicator and team player,
• Be able to independently operate in a global, diverse software development community across many geographical locations,
• Exhibit professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices,
• Perform other duties as may be determined by management.
  
  

Minimum Degree Required

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:

• BS with 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering with relevant User Interface technologies and application development OR
• MS with 2+ years of experience in Software Engineering with relevant User Interface technologies and application development.
  
  

Skills / Qualifications

• Working knowledge of one or more of the following technologies:
  
  • Android apps using Java / Kotlin
  • Desktop apps using C#, QT
  • Web apps using JavaScript
• Understanding of software development process, and test methodologies
• Experience working with a variety of software development practices, such as Agile Sprint/Scrum and Continuous Integration
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills across all levels
• Demonstrated success in working with global teams and in a services organization
• Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to work independently and in teams
• Ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced environment

• (preferred) Experience with
  
  • Version control systems management systems, such as SVN and Git/Gerrit
  • Bug tracking and reporting software systems such as Jira
  • Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins
