Description
The Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. Acting as a consultant the HRBP will support management on Human Resource related issues. The successful HRBP will act as employee champion and change agent, assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Leveraging available resources, the HRBP will proactively engage with his/her peers in HR department and business management to develop and implement integrated solutions. The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Success highly depends upon, the HRBP ability to maintain and utilize an effective level of understanding about the business units financial position, mid-range plans, culture and its competition.
Responsibilities
- Ability to translate business strategy into human capital initiatives and organization design and advise on organization development
- Harmonize delivery to meet client needs through partnering with CoEs
- Coach and influence leaders/employees in order to successfully connect business strategy to people strategy and build capabilities for higher performance
- Consistently reinforce leader accountability in the areas of talent, leadership, values, and culture
- Understand situations and diagnose for improvements, identify interventions and support decision making
- Consult with line management providing HR guidance when appropriate
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with HR team to develop solutions
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention
- Provides HR Policy guidance and interpretation
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Required
- Four year college or university degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Psychology or related field.
- Preferred Master's degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Psychology or related field.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) or similar certification.
Experience
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of the resolution of complex employee relation issues.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws
- Strong project management skills
- Manufacturing/Relevant industry experience a plus
