  • Summary:

    Provide comprehensive financial accounting, management accounting, and commercial support to facilitate optimal decision making for the designated markets. Help building strong financial and commercial awareness within the company and accounting team, while developing an effective internal control environment.

    Responsible for preparing and reviewing accounting transactions of a complex nature, preparing and analyzingfinancial reports, completing bank reconciliations and completing other balance sheet reconciliations.

     

    Key Job Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

    Operational

    • Manage the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, operating expenses, payroll, and insurance records. 
    • Monitor the compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and company’s financial policies.  
    • Prepare and review periodic financial statements with management.
    • Conduct complex accounting activities in accordance with the finance and accounting policies and procedures.
    • Direct and participate in cost optimization and cost analysis.
    • Ensure total abidance by the regulations of local markets including Zakat for KSA and VAT (where applicable).
    • Coordinate with internal auditors and help applying accounting and administrative controls.
    • Coordinate with external auditors in regard of the preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting.
    • In coordination with the Sales Officers and Sales Assistants, follow up on the collection of accounts receivable balances.
    • Ensure that suppliers’ payments are processed on time and in manner that ensures optimum utilization of Company funds.
    • Monitor the proper implementation of accounting and bookkeeping for payroll, inventory, property, and other related controls.
    • Provide assistance to improve and develop policies & procedures related to the financial management and monitor its implementation.



    Planning and Budgeting:

    • Recommend short- and long-term financial plans in coordination with management and participate in budget preparations.
    • Monitor progress of approved plans, follow up for compliance, and evaluate performance.


    Management: 

    • Maintain a culture that attracts, retains, and motivates qualified candidates.
    • Recruit, train, appraise, coach, support, develop, promote high potential employees. Ensure effective management within the finance function.
    • Provide leadership, expertise, and professional advice to the management on financial matters to ensure business objectives are supported with the right finance strategy.
    • Liaise with operational business units and corporate strategic functions to ensure an integrated approach to financial matters.



    Qualifications & Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration with an emphasis on Finance and Accounting qualification, preferably CA, CPA or ACCA
    • Master’s degree is a plus
    • At least 4 years’ supervisory experience in a similar role in an international organization.
    • Strong knowledge in general accounting and Saudi regulations.
    • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Microsoft AX experience is a plus).
    • Understanding of distribution and logistics.
    • Understanding of sales systems.
    • Commitment to working with shared leadership and in cross-functional teams.
    • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
    • Commercial and business acumen.
    • Excellent technical and numerical skills.

      

    Other Skills:

    • Should be able a self-starter and self-motivated.

    • Ability/Experience to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.

    • Good problem-solving ability.

    • Should have excellent spoken and written English communication skills.

    • Should have experience in documenting business processes, preparing user manuals, and conducting end-user training.
