Track Maintenance Manager
BWP are currently representing an international Rail provider with a number of projects in the Middle East. They presently have an opening for Track Maintenance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the track is operationally safe.
Job Core Purpose:
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Director the Track Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing, leading and signing off on all track maintenance activities across the rail network.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Track sign off upon completion of work
- Organizing and managing all track maintenance activities
- Carry out work safely and in accordance with the safe systems of work procedures, method statements, plans and other instructions
- Analyze the survey and inspection data to prioritize maintenance activities
- Manage and check the quality of work delivered and confirm assets are compliant to standards
- Manage the preparation of work and resource specifications, method statements and plans
- Manage information to update systems, databases and records including the management of critical rail temperature
- Prepare specifications and requisition for track maintenance materials
- Produce tampering designs and be able to undertake Hallade survey
- Ability to analyse traces from the track geometry vehicle and produce an action plan including timescales
- Undertake technical inspections, tests, investigations and analysis of technical data e.g. detailed inspection of switches and crossings
Requirements
- Degree educated – preferred
- Ability to undertake engineering analysis and related calculation
- Knowledge and experience of permanent way maintenance and construction management process, systems and standards
- Knowledge and experience of design requirements, processes and techniques
- Minimum of 10 year’s experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, OEM instructions and handbooks
- Stressing Level 1, 2 and 3
- Detailed inspection of switches and crossings
- Critical Rail Temperature Management
- Proven records of replacement of S&C components including a. Complete S&C layout
