Job Overview

For DuPont Food and Beverage team in Istanbul, we are seeking an experienced Bakery Application Specialist to support us in servicing our external and internal customers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has worked actively in bakery industry.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing mainly our local and regional customers.
  • Execution of customer related and internal tasks in close collaboration with colleagues in the group and across organization.
  • Designing, planning, executing and following up on projects, including lab, pilot plant trials and production trials at customers’ facilities.
  • Seeking and developing new application solutions for the bakery industry.
  • Improving and creating new concepts.
  • Visiting customers to develop the business.
  • Providing hands- on technical support and troubleshooting to the sales team and directly to our customers.
  • Training customers and colleagues in application and related processes.
  • Building a strong network with our key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing to maintaining a safe, efficient working environment.
  • Continuously adding new capabilities and skills to the technical team.
  • Participation in our global knowledge sharing activities.
  • Contributing to the innovation process.
  • Travelling expected for 80 days

Key Requirements
  • Relevant educational background (preferably University degree in Food, Chemical Engineering or related life sciences degree).
  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in baking technology preferably bakery ingredients.
  • A thorough understanding of emulsifier, enzyme and bakery chemistry will be a strong advantage.
  • Comprehensive technical and hands on insights coupled with a good commercial sense
  • A positive attitude combined with curious and creative mindset
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • An ability to work well in a multicultural matrix environment, prioritize projects and multitask.
  • Understanding of customer needs and problem solving ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Self-driven
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Willing to travel both domestically and internationally
