Job Purpose: Looking for strong data engineers having experience in Hadoop, Hive, Anaconda, Python and Spark. His/her primary role is to develop big data programs for Client Profitability platform which comprises of multiple applications. He/she would be involved in the analysis, design, coding, review, unit testing, and integration testing for the applications on the CP Industrialization projects.

Job Background/context: • The position is based in Missisauga, Canada and will report to the Client Profitability application manager in New York.
• Candidate will work independently with business owners, global development teams & various stake holders.
• Applies skills and knowledge of the tools to develop creative solutions to meet client and business needs

Key Responsibilities: • Work with the Project Lead & Business owners to understand the data analytics or engineering requirements
• Taking ownership to deliver projects by full development lifecycle of project.
• Design and develop performant and efficient big data processing programs.
• Understands deployment/entitlement strategies
• Interact with internal clients.

Qualifications • Hands-on experience in Python, Apache Spark, Hadoop, Big data platform.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess the ability to work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines.
• Experience in financial services industry is a plus
