Finance Business Partner - Retail

Role

My Retail client is looking for a Finance Business Partner who will sit within the Buying & Merchandising and Stores Finance Team. You will support in building the required processes, controls and reporting in order to deliver key objectives across the Investment program.

 

Role Responsibilities

• Business partnering Morrisons finance teams, working closely with the team producing & reviewing periodic accounts (Revenue, Costs and Capex), analysis and supporting with any questions, while maintaining a good working relationship

• Providing value adding financial insight, support and challenge by building effective working relationships at all levels, including senior managers and with other departments in the business
• Supporting stakeholders and senior management with financial analysis to help aid decision making
• Understand the value drivers of the business and provide guidance on contract / service performance including ROI, scenario planning, KPI analysis and benchmarking.
• Support the portfolio strategy through market, competitor and portfolio analysis; and inform market entry and exit decisions.

Skills & Qualifications

• Must hold an appropriate professional qualification for the role (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Extensive experience working in the Retail Industry (ideally in Buying and Merchandising) in a Finance Function.
• Commercial acumen, as well as experience of understanding relationships between key financial and non-financial business value drivers.
• Evidence of building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Good verbal and written presentation skills, able to adapt their style to the audience
• Works effectively and collaboratively cross functionally
