Position Summary

Reporting to the IM Group Controller the Finance Reporting Manager is responsible for the monthly consolidation and closing process for the IM Group and other general accounting functions including but not limited to preparation of financial reports, oversight internal controls compliance, research of technical accounting matters supporting internal and external auditors’ requirements and supporting other special projects and initiatives. It is expected that as part of the role continuous improvement to drive accounting and operational excellence and to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis on a timely manner. The Finance Reporting Manager is an integral leader within the FP&A function in IM Group and manages consolidation, forecasting, planning, as well as systems integrations and cash management and reporting through dedicated initiatives. Incremental to these responsibilities the Finance Reporting Manager will provide leadership on day-to-day activities and simplification projects to streamline financial processes, develop reporting mechanisms and generate analysis that clearly communicate operational drivers of the business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Support on monthly/quarterly reporting process, including preparation of financial reports for senior management. Prepare variance reports actuals vs. forecast and business plan and support on producing monthly forecast.
• Prepare quarterly Balance Sheet Review, supplemental disclosures, Cash Flow, P&L analysis and other divisional data requests.
• Provide support and assistance in the submission of Fixed Cost and Capital Spending programs for the Strategic Plan.
• Support on the Business Plan preparation, consolidation and submission to achieve operating income targets.
• Lead overall analytics for labor, materials consumptions and inventories, customer profitability, cash collection and month end accruals and support reviews with business unit & operational leaders.
• Provide regular updates to Leadership Team and functional leaders on their budgets, Local Growth funding and key projects.
• Design working capital report define measurement indicators to assess capital targets and define performance assessments.
• Drive improvements in financial analytics working with Division and corporate teams.
• Supervise, manage and provides guidance to financial analysts.
• Protect company value by keeping all information confidential.

Accounting and Financial Reporting.

• Assist the IM Controller in the monthly preparation and issuance of Regional and Consolidated Financial Statements.
• Assist the Group Controller in the development of LV reports and maintenance of Longview (LV) hierarchy design changes as required.
• Preparation and submission of Sales and Backlog, Flash reports.

Financial Systems, Processes and Controls

• Support financial controls are in place and effectively meet financial control objectives including Bill 198 compliance and IFRS.
• Support LV coding and hierarchies and other administrative duties for our general ledger and consolidation systems.
• Prepare account reconciliations for compliance with established criteria and overall quality.
• Support cross-functional process improvement and promote operational efficiencies and report results to senior management.
• Assist in maintaining current systems and develop process improvement initiatives, including systems deployments (IFS – Single Instance).
• Assist in the coordination of Shawcor Audit – SIS and SPS.
• Support with Transfer Pricing documentation and ensure compliance.

Special Projects and Strategic Initiatives

• Owns Consolidated Management Pack for group, engage business controllers and define process to consolidate and report profitability.
• Assist IM Group Controller in developing Client and Technology profitability reports.
• Support and lead Account Reconciliation initiative for the group and ensure consistency with compliance criteria.
• Support one instance of IFS roll out for group.
• Support integration of financial reporting to pertaining IFS and VL practices

Education And Experience

• Bachelor's Degree - Finance and Accounting
• Master's Degree - Finance and Accounting - preferred
• 5 - 10 year's experinece in Finance and Accounting
