As a result of the work we have been doing across Leasing, Tenant Representation, Valuations and Capital Markets Cushman & Wakefield have, by default, developed enhanced expertise and a de-facto leadership position in this sector. To further cement our position the business has taken a strategic decision to invest further in this area and we are in the process of building a team specifically dedicated to this fast-growing area of our business.

Take a leading role in driving the development of our Flexible Workspace consulting offer for landlords, investors, occupiers and operators. Build on the foundations laid in 2018 in order to deliver significant financial growth leading to a sustainable business which can be replicated across key EMEA markets.
A key requirement of this role will be the ability to work cross functionally, co-ordinating input from multiple areas of the C&W business. As a team, we will need to leverage skills and experience as well as resources from a variety of teams to deliver against our objectives. To be successful in the role a candidate must therefore be able to proactively identify the right contacts, build relationships and inspire colleagues against a potential backdrop of competing priorities.

Role Purpose
Job Description
Take a leading role in driving the development of our Flexible Workspace consulting offer for landlords, investors, occupiers and operators. Build on the foundations laid in 2018 in order to deliver significant financial growth leading to a sustainable business which can be replicated across key EMEA markets.
- Evolve existing marketing materials to create a robust set of materials which key C & W stakeholders can use to promote the Flexible Workspace Advisory Service
- Build a network of contacts across key client facing areas of the business (Agency, Capital Markets, Asset Services etc.) to drive a regular lead flow from existing clients.
- Play a leading role in client pitches/business development meetings.
- Deliver clearly defined Scope of Work for each potential engagement with associated Fee Proposal.
- Negotiate changes to the fee proposal as necessary.
- In conjunction with the Senior Consultant Flexible Workspace deliver all client engagements ensuring all work is of a high standard and meets or exceeds the client’s expectations. Engagements could include the following:
- In-depth portfolio reviews and option analysis to support the development of an investment strategy into flexible workspace
- Bespoke assessments of individual assets with recommendations as to how best to address the need for flexible workspace and the different delivery methods available.
- Flexible Operator Business model review and submarket analysis in order to support a letting to a flexible operator.
- Ensure all fees are invoiced and paid in a timely manner

Clients & Marketing
- Lead the team plan to grow and develop a client portfolio
- Act as prime client interface on projects, i.e. update clients on progress, answer queries, provide advice
- Lead client presentations, bids and pitches
- In conjunction with Senior Consultant Flexible Workspace deliver client assignments,
- Manage and liaise with internal teams and external consultants to provide a full service to the client
- Gather and act on client feedback
- Able to manage multiple competing client priorities and still meet required deadlines.
- Familiar with Cushman & Wakefield corporate structure and seeks to develop internal networks
- Lead the team in developing a profile in the marketplace through building client relationships and wider industry networks.
- Work collaboratively to generate new instructions and pool expertise within the team
- Proactively looks for and is able to identify new business and revenue opportunities with new and existing clients
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell when discussing a client’s requirements
- Manage budgets and billing on specific client accounts
- Effectively use established systems for debtor and disbursement recovery to secure cash flow and profitability, e.g. billing, debt pricing, costings etc
- Provide support and coaching to all junior members of the team
- Build and keep current own knowledge of Flexible workspace sector
- Proactively seek and undertake on the job and formal developmental activities to broaden experience and knowledge
- Achieve annual objectives set within performance review and actively engage in review process
- Undertake and record the requisite amount of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Support local office social activities
- Background in consulting preferred but not essential
- An understanding of business development and client relationship management
- Experience in networking and building relationships internally and externally
- An understanding of the changing dynamics of the Flexible workspace market and its potential wider impact on our business and that of our clients.
- Commercially astute with the ability to build and analyse complex P & L models.
- Evidence of creative problem solving and the ability to think ‘outside the box’
- Business and report writing experience
- IT skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
