Legal & Business Affairs Assistant

The Ambassador Theatre Group is seeking a Legal and Business Affairs
Assistant to assist the Legal and Business Affairs team in its wide ranging
legal, commercial and corporate development function across of the Group’s
activities both in the UK and internationally, with particular focus on
Data Protection and Privacy Laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Data Protection and Privacy compliance within ATG,
including training employees, conducting audits, drafting policies and
procedures, updating the Record of Processing and dealing with any data
related incidents;
  • Assisting the Legal and Business Affairs team with day to day legal and
business affairs support and advice to the entire Group;
  • Assisting the Group Operations Team, particularly the Property Team with
their day to day issues including in relation to town planning queries;
  • Assisting the Legal and Business Affairs team in the growth strategy for
the Group;
  • Assisting in the negotiation and documentation of commercial contracts
including supplier and partnership contracts.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of company books and records including
supplier and partnership contracts.
  • Working closely with the production team to assist in the negotiation and
documentation of creative contracts.
  • Assisting with the maintenance of company books and records including
making filings at the Companies House and arranging board and shareholder
meetings.
  • To attend training courses as required in order to further
self-development.
  • To carry out such other duties as delegated from time to time to ensure the
smooth running of the department and to aid the achievement of the
Company’s objectives.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required
  • A qualified solicitor, with commercial experience in the theatrical
industry.
  • Data Protection qualifications, minimum CIPP/E.
  • Experience in training employees.
  • Experience in Property or Planning Law.
  • Experience in company secretarial matters.
  • A keen enthusiasm for a wide variety of challenges and an ability to work
under pressure and to tight timescales.
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication and team work skills.
  • Strong research and organisation skills.
