Livewire is looking to hire a Network Administrator. This new full-time position, reporting directly to the Vice President Digital, supports all technical aspects of the office environment for 47 full time users, several remote freelancers and a newly opened office in Chicago. There are several key technologies at play, including Unix, Windows and Mac. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing agency environment in mid-town Toronto. Responsibilities
-Take ownership of office network and file sharing server environment, proactively ensuring reliability for the Livewire team, including responsibility for:
- Network infrastructure, i.e. cabling
- In-house Centos/Ubuntu/Windows servers
- Wireless access
- Firewall
- VPN Access
- Backups, both onsite and cloud, switches, routers, modems, etc
-Proactively undertake security procedures and ensure associated policies are enforced.
-Routinely test to ensure readiness for disaster recovery.
-Procure, maintain and support office hardware including laptops/desktops (Mac and PC), office printers (with support from vendor service), mobile phones (iOS and Android), UPS devices, etc. ----Ensure redundant hardware is available and ready for instant deployment where required to support critical business functions.
-Provide support for meeting rooms and proactively test to ensure internet-based conferencing tools for video and audio calls are functioning correctly and ready for use.
-Onboard new employees and temporary freelancers to network, software systems, and policies ensuring all members of the team are aware of the environment and their role in security.
-Ensure all employees are properly equipped with the hardware and software properly configured to perform their function.
-Manage user accounts for both network and business software, ensuring good user list hygiene to manage ongoing costs as accounts turn over.
-Provide general user support regarding network access, file sharing, digital collaboration, communications and printing.
-Support the Digital Development Team by managing virtual machine servers and playing a systems administrator role on billable client projects and hosting contracts.
Qualifications
-Minimum 5 years directly relevant experience supporting multi-user secure networks, as well as associated best practice in management/administration.
-Experience providing user support for PC and Mac desktops as well as iOS and Android devices
-In-Depth knowledge of Mac OS X, Windows Server 2012 and later, CentOS 7 / RHEL and Ubuntu server
-Create, repair and modify BTRFS filesystem
-Extensive Experience with networking (10gbps LAN with bonding/Link Aggregation in linux), WAN with multiple failover, VPN, wifi, etc)
-Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint and Azure AD
-Experience with windows server AD DNS
-Experience with extremely large capacity server arrays
-Experience with Linux file shares to be acessed by windows computers
-Be able to build computers quickly and obtain the best parts for each situation while keeping costs affordable
-Be able to terminate ethernet to keystone/rj45
-Able to work in a very fast paced environment
-Experience supporting misc office systems, including IP phones, large printers, conferencing -technologies, etc
-Willing to take occasional support calls at night or on holidays
-Monitor network resources and perform preventative maintenance
-Backup network configurations and test our restore process
-IT Support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure
-Document all network standards and procedures

Further responsibilities within the role: As the company achieves its growth targets it is expected the scope and scale of this role will expand.
Director, IT and Systems Administration: This future role is responsible for planning and oversight of Livewire’s internal and client-facing systems in Canada and the US.
