Epson are seeking a Pre-Sales Technical Specialist to provide high-level technical sales support to our local sales teams, customers and channel partners across Saudi Arabia, focussing on the delivery of major projects and customer solutions. This will include a technical understanding of customer requirements, along with third party software and solutions, aligning and placing them in scope with our Business, MPS and Enterprise products portfolio.

Reporting into the Business Sales Manager, the successful candidate will have proven experience working in a pre-sales or technical product marketing environment with a focus on End User solution sales.


Key Responsibilities:


• Engage with customers, channel partners and their technical representatives early in the sales cycle and throughout the sales process to understand their business needs and solution objectives


• In conjunction with the sales team, formulate a product / system proposal delivering more value to customers at better margins through optimally defined solutions


• Support the sales team and channel partners (system integrators, resellers etc.) in delivering projects at the customer locations


• Scope software/ hardware requirements and desired outcomes, and work with relevant local and/or central teams deliver the required solution; including maintaining a high level of communication across functional groups and managing milestones


• Engage in active communication with key end-users and partners (e.g. Independent Software Vendor’s, resellers), in-line with defined commercial requirements from the sales development group


• Support sales team and channel partners with product information, RFP’s, and updates in-line with launch


• Provide Technical Support expertise to sales exhibitions and events, either managed centrally or in-conjunction with the sales team


• Develop bespoke demonstration software / hardware documentation for sales departments
• Evaluate new products / software, identifying potential problems and provide input to Product Management team


• Co-ordinate the feed information and market intelligence to sales and Business Management to support the development of a balanced pipeline of opportunities for the business


Key Skills & Experience: 


• Ideally you will be an experienced Pre-Sales professional ideally from a business print background or a leading technology solutions vendor


• Be able to travel throughout Saudi Arabia


• Experience of providing technical support in area of system integration, business print software and print hardware 


• Numerate, analytical and logical approach to problem solving with outstanding communication skills both verbal and written


• Ability to provide effective troubleshooting for customer (internal/external) issues such as analysing various logs/codes and draw constructive conclusions


• Natural team player who understands the importance of driving and supporting sales teams
• Develop bespoke demonstrations of software/hardware along with documentation for Sales departments


• Understanding any associated managed print software


• Good communication and presentation skills


• Project management experience or involvement in a sales/product management process demonstrating time management skills


• Creative thinker that can deliver and create solutions to help our clients and customers
