PBA, now part of Stantec, are currently looking to recruit a Principal or Associate Engineer to join the established civil infrastructure design team based in Taunton.

PBA have had operations in the South West for over 20 years and we have been involved in some of the landmark land development projects across the region. Our office in Taunton is in the heart of the beautiful Somerset countryside and yet are still within reach of London and the South East. Out Civil's Team are aiming to support the next generation of major developments which will undoubtedly be infrastructure led and with our unique blend of technical skills and experiences we are well placed to secure these opportunities.

As our Principal or Associate Engineer, you will lead a team of Engineers and work with senior levels of management to drive the business forward. You will take responsibility for the management of the design process on a range of infrastructure development schemes for public and private sector clients as well as run your own projects. You will have the opportunity to play a key role in the success of our team and gain some valuable exposure to some of the best projects in the region.

The successful candidate will ideally have some of the following range of qualifications / skills:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Experience of Section 38, 278 and 104 processes
• Have experience of preparing highway designs and specifications
• Have experience in detailed drainage and SuDs design using WINDES
• Experience of the delegation and management of technician and CAD resources
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office programs
• Be a competent user of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience of DMRB Manual for Streets, British Standards and Sewers for Adoption.
