Procurement Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop policies and cost effective strategies in procurement and ensure that it aligns to the corporate values.
• Analyze procurement requests and verify the technical specifications and parameters of the requested items to procure accordingly in coordination with the Procurement team.
• In charge of the vendor evaluation and selection process in coordination with Supply Chain Manager.
• Negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with vendors and suppliers.
• Review and approve comparative studies of prices vs. specifications and quality and recommend best options accordingly.
• Constantly seek new suppliers by conducting market visits – local and foreign (as needed) – for maintaining supply negotiation advantage and avoiding any shortage of any items.
• Prepare stock availability reports and studies for foreign supply products and items upon request.
• Oversee the performance of the procurement team.

Profile

• BE (electrical or Mechanical engineering) or BA in Business Administration
Supply Chain certification is an asset

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling procurement preferably in a similar field.

• Knowledge of Local and Procurment Suppliers in the same industry
  

• Strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques

• Valid UAE driving license
