About Your Job

In this position, you will be responsible for the effective execution of the day-to-day staff travel requests at the counter in terms of ticketing, reservations, and responding to staff queries. Mobilization of the staff members as and when required for duty travel, refresher courses, interviews and personal travel and extend services to all the staff, exhibiting accurate and on-time performance.

Your other job accountabilities will be as mentioned below:

  • Answer telephone calls, respond to complex queries, flight timings, visa information, fares, and taxes. Issue rebated tickets for QR subsidiaries, QR staff and their families.
  • Effectively support client requirements by explaining and mapping best possible routes with cheapest possible fares.
  • Processing requests for training, new joining & interviews for QR and subsidiaries. Make group booking for these courses, issue tickets and send it to the concerned dept.
  • Interacting with QR Staff starting from top management levels in order to arrange duty travel for various purposes for Qatar Airways and other subsidiaries.
  • Liaison with QR and other subsidiaries to arrange travel arrangements for interviewers, new joiners, cargo messages for repatriation, catering equipment, uniform Duty free items etc.
  • Collecting cash for the issued documents to record all the tickets issued.
  • Handling of refund for the unutilized and partially utilized tickets for staff and their families to ascertain that employees will get their refund money without any delay.
  • Attaching audit coupons with relevant approved forms to update the records for future references.
  • Assist in the response to any emergency or a major operational disruption affecting Qatar Airways or its subsidiaries, including support of the Qatar Airways Special Assistance Program.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested by Management.
About You

You should hold a trade or vocational qualification with minimum of 3 years of job related experience within an airline industry or a reputed travel agency. You should hold IATA certification which is essential for fare calculation and itinerary planning. You should have thorough knowledge of reservation systems like Amadeus, Galileo or Saber.

We are looking for someone who has strong knowledge and experience in ticketing software, booking methods, ticketing & fare calculation and has a good understanding of international airline industry organization (IATA). You should also have good knowledge in Itinerary planning, geography, state capitals, major airports Customs regulations, passports, visas and immunization requirements. You should have good communication, customer service skills and knowledge in MS Office suites.
