SCOPE OF WORK:
The Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) is an executive body of the Science and Technology Organization (STO) and is governed by the provisions of the STO Charter. Within the framework of the STO in-house delivery business model, the CMRE organizes and conducts scientific research and technology development and deliver innovative field-tested S&T solutions to address the defence and security needs of the Alliance.
The Integrated Business Support Unit (IBSU) functions as the business support element within the Directorate. It provides a coordinated business planning function to assist the Directorate in the planning, execution, and exploitation of the Centre’s Programme of Work.
The Software Developer / Enterprise Project Support professional acts as focal point for CMRE in IT-enabled processes related to core business, and provides skilled administrative support particularly within the Project Support domain.
TASKS:
• Act as focal point for CMRE business-related, IT-enabled processes and related Master Data Management interfacing with other organizational elements (e.g. HR, Finance) to ensure that authoritative information remains available and up-to-date
• Design and develop dashboards to visualize key performance indicators exploiting cloud-based data
• Provide professional contributions to the improvement of Centre business processes through the efficient application of Information Technology
• Contribute to the development of Service Level Agreements for administrative IT business services within the NATO enterprise, in the area of responsibility (business information systems and services)
• Assist as required in the development and maintenance of Programme and Project plans, using appropriate tools
• Automation of project progress reports, including analysis of trends and future performance forecasts, using data from resource accounting and time management tools
REQUIREMENTS:
• At least three years’ experience related to the main tasks
• Experience in the deployment and administration of functional software and administrative systems with a major focus on areas such as project management, personnel management, financial management, resource management
• Extensive .NET development skills
• Extensive SharePoint (2010-2013) development skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Knowledge of MS Project Server and Project Server development framework
• Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and BI development framework
• Experience in setting in place new processes and procedures
DESIRABLE:
• Master (MSc/MA) or Bachelor (BSc/BA) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline
• Experience of Microsoft PowerBI
• Industry Certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certifications)
• Formal certification in a recognized project management methodology (PRINCE 2 or PMI) and have knowledge of ITIL
