Perficient currently has a career opportunity for entry/Mid Level Dev Ops Engineer in our St. Louis, MO office.

Job Overview

The Dev Ops Engineer who will work closely with our development team and Director of Engineering to build our deployment processes. You will be joining an environment that encourages intellectual curiosity, creative discourse, collaborative autonomy, and challenging yourself and the status quo. You will be part of an agile/scrum team working to deliver backlog items/user stories.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Agile team to Identify, Create, Design, and Integrate processes for repeatable, automated software delivery
• Assist with development environment administration within the AWS cloud
• Automate status reporting of CI/CD including code coverage and test results

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of related development experience in industry
• Familiar with source control systems (Github) and integration with CI/CD tools such as Travis and Jenkins
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef or equivalent
• Programming experience in Python, Java, and C++
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration environments such as Docker and Kubernetes
• In-depth knowledge of software development best practices, as well as the use of tools to help harden our infrastructure and monitor systems
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
