    THE OPPORTUNITY

    In a constantly changing and increasingly consolidated global market; the Global Services Director (GSD) will have critical responsibility for shaping, leading and constantly improving a professional global service team providing a sustainable competitive advantage that compliments the company’s world-class poultry incubation products.

    Reporting to the President, the GSD will be a Senior Manager on the Management Team (MT) which is comprised of other key functional areas of the company. As a passionate customer advocate; the GSD will provide direction to the MT for global service strategies and on-going tactical issues in the customer base. Leading a global service team of 25-30 individuals with varying skillsets and industry experience; the GSD will provide daily leadership to the department, ensuring efficient allocation of budget resources to customer requirements and effective internal interfacing to ensure timely issue resolution while developing the organizational, human resource and process capability that establishes clear leadership in service excellence within the industry.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION
    • Project management of customer orders ensuring customer preparation, order delivery, installation and commissioning and customer training which meet the customer project schedule.
    • Yearly budget input for service operations and capital expenditures and ongoing monitoring/control of expenses to budget.
    • Design and construct programs to generate service activities that provide value-add to customers while generating new sources of service revenue. Coordinate with marketing to support marketing activities that promote service capabilities, revenues and industry leadership.
    • Coordinate with manufacturing and logistics to ensure necessary support for global spare parts strategies for the company and company partners.
    • Establishment and adherence by all team members and channel partners to effective policy, strong processes and clear, measurable standards ensuring consistency, quality and comprehensive documentation of exceptional service delivery to customers.


    Experience
    • 5-10 years’ experience in managing global service teams.
    • 15-20 years’ experience in light industrial capital equipment service roles.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Solid experience in dealing with customers, managing individuals and operating in different cultural, religious and political environments.
    • Strong project management skills, PMP Certification would be an asset but not a requirement.
    • Broad understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and electronic technologies.
    • Familiarity with environmental control systems both on small (machine) and large scales.
