Job Purpose

Provide administrative support to the marketing team. Specifically to assist in the delivery of effective marketing campaigns, retail promotions and other ad hoc marketing activities

Role of Department

The marketing team is responsible for delivering POS and marketing communications in store, advertising, PR and social media activity, creative development, own label packaging, CRM, flyers & publications, events and other activities to help drive sales, engage customers and support the development of the Ryman brand.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support with promotional set up and administration. Duties include:
    • Maintain of End to End POS system.
    • Briefing of POS updates to studio and write supporting store communications
    • Proof reading of promotional POS
    • Setting up promotions on till software
    • Producing support documents for promotional launches
    • Collation and production of buyers POS packs for artwork sign off.
  • Arranging for products to be sent for photography and writing photography briefs for internal studio
  • Co-ordinating prizes and communication to prize draw and competition winners
  • Proof reading marketing materials, leaflets etc
  • Support with product PR: arranging for samples, product details etc to be sent to press and bloggers.
  • Liaising with suppliers and buyers to arrange product images and features and benefits to support marketing activity
  • Writing of store communications to support various marketing activities
  • Regular contacting of shopping centres, BIDs and stores to support local marketing activity
  • Managing distribution lists for POS and leaflet allocation to stores
  • Competitor activity review and audits both online and on the high street.
  • Support in the set up and running of Ryman exhibition stands at various events.


Skills & Experience
  • Strong MS Office skill, particularly Word & Excel
  • IT literate. Generally confident at learning new software systems and techniques at work
  • Exceptionally well organised, highly literate and numerate.
  • Some experience of working in a marketing, ecom or retail environment could be advantageous
