The Analytics Sector Lead oversees the commercial success for a portfolio of clients organized by industry and a team of analytics client managers who work with those clients, delivering insights through data analysis. The successful candidate has expertise in personnel management, the client renewal sales process, and industry trends relevant to the portfolio and can extract industry-specific relevance from the data to deliver strategic insights applicable to all clients within the portfolio.

 

The Analytics Sector Lead works closely with the sales department to support client renewals, addressing risks through engagement and coaching team members to deliver against client-specific business priorities. The Analytics Sector Lead is responsible for creating an exceptional client experience for all clients within the portfolio and will coach team members on best practices in data analysis, client service, and business acumen. Additionally, the Analytics Sector Lead oversees content development of the surveys that underpin Forrester’s buyer experience analytics products, coordinating with the VP of product.

 

The ideal candidate has functional knowledge of business and consumer marketing and technology trends, applying data analysis that supports marketing practices, the enthusiasm to learn Forrester’s thought leadership around trends, and the ability to articulate the value proposition of Forrester’s analytics offerings.

 

Through this role, the Analytics Sector Lead will expand his/her knowledge on people management, commercial success, survey design, data analysis, and marketing practices.


Responsibilities
  • Manage an industry-oriented portfolio of clients, ensuring the portfolio meets target renewal rates and engagement metrics.
  • Manage and coach individual analytics client managers working directly with clients in the portfolio, guiding them on best practices and helping them develop their professional skills.
  • Create an exceptional client experience through actionable data analysis and high-quality client service.
  • Deliver strategic insights to clients in the portfolio.
  • Manage one or two individual clients directly to stay close to clients as well as stay sharp with data analysis.
  • Identify key needs of clients across the portfolio and incorporate those needs into the survey content, aligning to the overall product strategy.
  • Contribute to the product innovation through advanced analytic approaches or working with product management to document and build new product features.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management to drive overall commercial success of the product.


Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree (an MBA is preferred).
  • Ten to 15 years of experience in managing clients and delivering data analysis, preferably in a marketing or customer/market intelligence role.
  • Superior communication skills via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the business use and consumer preferences of technology.
  • A strong quantitative and analytical aptitude.
  • Confidence and credibility when presenting to senior leaders at our clients’ organizations.
  • The ability to collaborate across the organization to meet the needs of the client.
  • The ability to travel at least once per quarter to client sites in the US.
  • Client focused, collaborative, highly organized, and detail oriented.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
