Description

The University of Chester require aSite/Subject Librarian to manage the
staff and range of services (including IThelpdesk support) for the Marriss
House Library in Birkenhead, also acting as subjectlibrarian for the
University’s Faculty of Health and Social Care across thefaculty’s
locations. You will collaborate with colleagues at our otherUniversity
libraries and within the Faculty to provide a range of library
andinformation services.
Educated to Degree level with a Postgraduatequalification in Librarianship
or Information Science, you will have relevantexperience in an educational
or special library involving staff management.
With a background in customer care, you willhave a proactive approach to
change and project management. You should possessexcellent interpersonal
skills, an ability to participate in senior levelmeetings, and a capacity
to work flexibly and under pressure whilst meetingdeadlines.
A willingness to travel between sites isessential due to the nature of the
Faculty being based across a number oflocations.
