About the Role

*
Efficiently operate switchboard equipment by responding professionally to all incoming calls to the hospital ensuring that the caller is transferred or redirected correctly and in a timely manner.

Perform general administrative duties to contribute to the effective daily operations of the switchboard department.

Communicate regularly with all departments of the hospital to maintain accurate and current records for effective switchboard operations.

*
Provide a service to support hospital staff in the allocation, coordination and fault repair of all pager units for the hospital.

*
Operate alternative communication systems to regularly liaise with hospital staff in the event of an emergency or security response situation.
