We are a specialist provider of open space grounds, building/facilities and infrastructure maintenance services to Government, Local Government and Private sector organisations throughout Australia.

We have an opportunity for a reliable and experienced Grounds worker to join our Inner West team. This position requires experience in the open space mowing and grounds maintenance field.

The Grounds Worker will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking grounds and garden maintenance including the operation of various ride-on mowers, brush cutters, edgers, blowers and spraying equipment in parks and open space
  • Pruning, weeding, planting, and mulching
  • Chemical application
  • Working productively within a team environment
  • Ensuring works are completed to timeframes and to within the scope of the contract
  • Basic reporting including navigation of various smartphone apps to complete inspections and hazard identification, as well as job closure

Essential requirements for the role include:

  • Previous experience with parks and open space
  • Experience with handling chemicals, ChemCert preferred
  • Hold a manual drivers licence, Traffic Management ticket preferred
  • Have basic horticultural and plant ID skills
  • Excellent customer service focus and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of safety and environmental work practises

Successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment, police check, and driving assessment.
