We are recruiting for an Investment & Development Analyst with a prominent and well-established real estate developer in Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare packages for the Investment Committee and lenders

• Perform in‐depth industry, market and competitor research to support the investment review process

• Prepare comprehensive underwriting packages

• Research and maintain a database of commercial property transactions and activity

• Develop strong business relationships with peers in the industry

• Update Argus and Excel models quarterly as part of the asset management submissions

• Assist with acquisition, disposition and development underwriting and due diligence for commercial and residential properties

• Prepare financial models and scenario analysis in both Argus and Excel to project cash flows, investment returns and the viability of acquisitions and development projects

• Building and verifying waterfalls to determine the timing and amount of profit distribution available to partners

 

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in real estate development

• Ability to underwrite and perform analysis across several asset types (commercial\residential)
• Ability to work in a small team environment and present to executives
• Argus Intermediate – Advanced level
