The Breton Hill team joined Neuberger Berman in 2017 to enhance the firm’s quantitative investing capabilities. The team manages hedge funds, mutual funds, ETFs and private client accounts. Our clients include some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated institutional investors. Neuberger Berman Breton Hill is based in Toronto and current manages CAD $5.5 billion in assets.


Responsibilities:


The Quantitative Investment Analyst will join the Breton Hill Portfolio Management team in Toronto. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring quantitative investment strategies for commodity and currency markets.


Requirements:


  • Minimum 3-5 years of financial markets experience. Experience in commodities, currency, or rates markets is an asset.
  • Expertise in MATLAB, including object oriented programming. Proficiency in other languages such as Python or C is valuable.
  • A quantitative undergraduate degree (e.g. Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences). An advanced degree in one of these fields would be an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Professional conduct, consistently guided by integrity, partnership and high performance.
  • Canadian work authorization is required.
