Why this role matters Nexmo is looking for a passionate Agile Coach to help us work more effectively. You will be working across different engineering and non-engineering teams involved in delivering a product for our customers, including developers, product managers, support, marketing, developer relations and any other relevant teams. You will be part of the Business Agility Team whose purpose it is to help improve the health and effectiveness of the organisation through the adoption of agile/lean principles and practices. As a team, we work closely together, help each other and learn from each other. We use the same principles and values that we are helping other teams to foster. What you'll do
  • Be a true leader, guide the teams on their journey to self-organisation and high-performance
  • Bring energy and structure to the team ceremonies
  • Help the teams with defining and breaking down the work and focus on delivering regular value to the customer
  • Support the teams with defining policies such as the Definition of Ready and the Definition of Done
  • Help the Team-of-Teams and the organisation understand, capture and report metrics in an efficient way (cycle time, flow efficiency, CFDs, forecasts and others)
  • Coach the teams to identify areas for improvements and running the improvement experiments
  • Be proactive in coaching others in the organisation, training and knowledge sharing within Communities of Practice and other forums
  • Be a champion of agile & lean best practices and help build an agile/lean mindset across the organisation What you'll bring
  • Extensive knowledge of agile and lean methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban
  • Track record of introducing effective agile methodologies and techniques to teams with varying backgrounds and experience
  • Enough technical background to be able to follow technical conversations
  • Experience in working:
  • as an Agile Coach/Facilitator/Scrum Master
  • with teams and improving cross-team interactions
  • on Program level with both engineering and non-engineering teams
  • Ability to help teams to address dysfunctions through facilitation, coaching, mentoring and training
