Job Purpose:  

The key objective of this role is to assist with the day-to-day Database Administration, critical tasks of the Data Warehouse round the clock. This is a critical position to ensure uninterrupted data warehouse operational continuity. This role will include in-house development for Informatica, MicroStrategy and Teradata Admin Tool, monitoring of Data Warehouse load jobs, maintaining system restore-able backups and availability of Data on DR (Disaster Recovery Solution) site for business continuity in case of any disaster.

Job Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day ETL (Extract, Transform, Loading) responsibilities, resolving issues fixing bugs of production system with in the defined SLA, included (SUM(simple load job monitor), ODI (Oracle Data Integrator), Oracle, Teradata, Unica, INFORMATICA)
• Teradata administration, jobs automation in Informatica and take necessary actions to keep ETL (Extract, Transform, Loading) machines updated for security patches and necessary software updates.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly backups for Data Ware House Solutions (as per SOP of Department) using Netvault and Netbackup. it includes files system backups and Database Backups.
• Infrastructure management and Database Administration using Teradata Active System Monitoring
• Ensuring and implementing Audit polities/agreed SOP with in team and with our external stake holders

Education (Qualification / Certifications) 

• Graduate in Computer Sciences/Computer engineering/software engineering/Masters in IT
  

• Post-graduate degree will be preferred

Required Experience:

Minimum 4 year of relevant experience in Unix/Linux/Informatica/Teradata Admin/Backups solution of Teradata
