Position Summary

The Supervisor for Claims provides support to the Manager - Claims by directly supervising team members and by monitoring and coordinating daily activities to produce consistent quality and productivity outcomes. Provides policy, procedure, and benefit interpretation decisions to assist team members in resolving claims inquiries. Ensures that team members are equipped with tools and training required to perform at levels necessary to meet departmental goals and objectives. Accounts for the productivity of assigned team and resources on day-to-day basis, providing feedback to the team and Manager - Claims. The incumbent aids in the oversight of business partner policies and procedures, accuracy and productivity. Analyzes business challenges, processes, and applications for improvement opportunities. Leads and manages departmental projects at the direction of the Manager - Claims and acts as subject matter expert for cross-departmental projects. Acts as key contributor in the identification, development and implementation of processes and policies that drive departmental improvements.
