Baie-comeau Responsibilities

• Ensure work is completed and that plans and estimates are consistent;
• Ensure that contractors comply with rules regarding the client’s health and safety.
• Control material quality and quantities, write daily reports when necessary;
• Write site memos and notices intended for contractors in order to enforce compliance with contractual provisions;
• Take the necessary measures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations or written instructions for the work;
• Follow up with the contractor to annotate plans to produce the plans as stated;
• Attend site meetings;
• Carry out all other related tasks to assist in the completion of the project.

QUALIFICATIONS

• College diploma in mechanical, electrical or civil engineering or other training deemed equivalent;
• 6-10 years of relevant experience in site supervision in industrial environments;
• Experience in CAD design in the field is considered a plus;
• Hold an ASP certification (health and safety course for construction sites);
• Experience in consulting engineering is considered a plus;
• Takes initiative, detail-oriented;
• Able to work as part of a team;
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
