  • SUMMARY:

    A global company is seeking a long term contract  for a UI/UX Architect. 


    DESCRIPTION:

    • Simplify complex content, processes, and ideas into functional, usable interfaces that allow a user to accomplish tasks rapidly with minimal room for error
    • Distill qualitative and quantitative research (interviews, personas, workflows, journey maps) into simple and functional information architecture, taxonomy, workflows, and site navigation
    • Define and document the information architecture and interaction flows through wireframes and prototypes in tools such as Adobe XD, InvisionApp, or Adobe CC
    • Conduct and/or participate in product usability tests with users
    • Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional team members including but not limited to designers, developers, scrum master, and business analysts
    • Contribute to planning and daily stand-ups with the development team in an agile workflow
    • Proactively recognize UX/UI gaps in design and propose solutions

    Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of digital design experience with a minimum of 3 years in an architect role at a commercial software product company, design firm, or consulting firm
    • Bachelor's degree in UX, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, Computer Science, or a related degree from an accredited institution
    • Mastery of user-centered design principles and practices
    • Mastery of UI design, including but not limited to process workflows, data visualization, and dashboards
    • Mastery of prototyping software including Sketch, Invision, Azure, etc.
    • Expert in W3C standards and common taxonomy
    • Experience creating sitemaps, wireframes, and customer/user journeys
    • Innovative, creative problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy
    • Experience working in an agile development process
    • An understanding of best practices in product design
    • Technical acumen of industry standard development stacks and are able to translate that knowledge into concepts that can be accomplished by development
    • Expertise in current trends for UX/UI design and data visualization
    • Ability to effectively manage and direct designers/production artists to design screens and create assets
    • Knowledge of CSS3, HTML5, and JavaScript
    • Understanding of browser capabilities and testing (a bonus)
    • Understanding of AI and machine learning (a bonus)
    • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and listening)
    • Excellent organization skills with proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to adjust to frequent changes in project priorities
