Where Do You Fit In?

We are currently seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a IT Systems Field Service Engineer based in Dubai. In this role, you will hold overall responsibility for the maintenance of data centres within Dubai Airport. You will coordinate with OEM support team to resolve reported issues and provide 24 x 7 Support for L2 Onsite for break fixes and critical issues. You may provide technical training, mentorship, and work direction to other Service Engineers, Technicians and Subcontractors. You will drive, and sustain success through Continuous Improvement.

What Will You Be Doing Every Single Day?

• On-line monitoring of equipment and perform system log verifications.
• Provide continuous maintenance to all the listed devices.
• Carry out all recommended Firmware updates and software updates on servers and devices.
• Ensure that changes and upgrades should not cause any significant impact to applications
• Carry out quarterly preventive maintenance and health check and necessary corrections on time.
• Troubleshoot and provide solutions related to devices and server hardware.
• Resolve server problems like system hang, hard disk crash with the help of manufacturer.
• System restoration in event of hardware failure.
• Provide Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for every failure of the system.

What Skills and Experience Will You Have?

• Bachelor Engineering Degree or Equivalent.
• Extensive experience in IT datacenter or a similar Enterprise environment
• Proven experience in UAE IT industry.
• VMWARE VCP-DCV & CISCO CCNA certifications are imperative for this role
• VMWARE VCP-NSX, vSAN & vROPS experience preferred.
• MICROSOFT certification is added benefit.
• Advanced proficiency with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products (NSX & vRealize Operations manager) and platforms. In general, they must be adept at network engineering, with working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems.
• Extensive hands on experience on IBM Storwise, EMC VNX & EMC Isilon Storage technologies.
• Basic understanding and hands on experience on CISCO Switches.
• Proven experience in performing maintenance, patches and upgrades on Compute and Storage.
• Maintenance and operational knowledge on Microsoft AD & SQL.
• Basic knowledge about IP CCTV & Video Management Systems.
