About the role
This is a temporary full-time position that is responsible for planning and delivering health and wellness programming to older adults across the Parramatta LGA as part of the mobile Active Parramatta Van team. Funded through Sport Australia’s Better Ageing Grant, this position will be dedicated to increasing the physical activity levels of older adults, particularly those who are the least active.


The position will primarily involve planning, preparing and delivering a variety of group fitness activities and administrative tasks related to program planning and reporting. The position is expected to work closely with Council staff, Sporting Bodies and community organisations to achieve the Better Ageing Grant Program objectives.

The successful applicant will be required to work flexible hours including weekends and peak periods if required.

About the person
The successful candidate is a professional, highly enthusiastic and motivated individual who can work independently and in a team environment. They must possess the proper qualifications to run fitness activities and have previous experience planning and delivering group fitness activities.

The candidate must have the following:

  • First aid and CPR certificate
  • NSW drivers licence
  • Certificate III or equivalent qualifications in Australia
