Wordpress Web Developer - Remote

We are seeking an energetic, highly creative WordPress Developer to be part of the team as we continue to optimize our global website, which includes ten languages, 14 markets, 39 user applications, and multiplying. We are looking for a forward-thinker and doer who is eager to not only grow our new website platform but keep it modularize and flexible for Getac’s continuous expansion of industry solutions. A good translator and interpreter who may communicate among marketers, designers, and other web developers.

 

Specifically, the developer will:

 

• Be ready, willing, and able to think through complex problems, help fix them, mentor and support others, think outside the box, and ask questions.
• Manage vendors for web development projects.
• Have substantial experience and understanding in PHP and the WordPress Framework.

 

Have a minimum understanding of all of the following, and be able to demonstrate working knowledge in most of it:

 

• PHP
• HTML5
• CSS3 + SASS
• JavaScript with angular, vue, or react as a plus.
• GULP
• MYSQL
• GIT Version Control
• Web server technology - Apache, NGINX, or similar.
• AWS experience.
• Experience with Multilingual sites. WPML plugin experience helpful.
• Resolve site issues and oversee testing associated with maintenance and measuring success metrics.
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Detail-oriented, well organized, able to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while working on multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese (HSK 4 or TOCFL Level 3 or above) would be a plus.
• Solid record with both B2B and B2C web sites and UI/UX optimization
• Experience with Chrome/Firefox debugger and development tools
• Experience working with Salesforce and Eloqua or other Marketing Automation tools would be a plus.
