The MEA+NL organization is one of the most dynamic organizations within PVH. We are responsible for developing the PVH brands (Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein) in the emerging markets (Middle East, Africa, South East Europe) and in the Netherlands. Our business approach is multifaceted in order to optimize the positioning of PVH in our markets.

The team working for this region must be able to manage and build relationships with our partners across various cultures and backgrounds, and enjoy a fast paced and dynamic work environment.

Project Description

During your internship, you will be given a super interesting and challenging project: Expansion Strategy to Africa. You will have complete responsibility and independence to work on you project, while the team will of course offer you all the guidance and support you need! Key responsibilities for you will be the following:

  • Deep dive research on African continents macroeconomic landscape, including sales channel opportunities & profitability 
  • Assess current players in the market, and identify potential partners for engagement
  • Research competition & retail landscape, providing in depth analysis to provide guidance for key strategic recommendations
  • Develop analysis for directing Divisional strategic planning (key market drivers), including country/region specific recommendations on divisional/product focus. 
  • Develop internal and external strategic presentations
  • Coordinate internal stakeholder engagement, tracking respective actions and deadlines 
  • Initiate engagement plan with internal divisions, including identifying roles, responsibilities, & processes 
  • Develop KPI matrix to ensure successful project roll-out
  • Review and manage Risk Management Matrix 
  • Maintain Business Plan and Financial roll-out summary
  • Assist Commercial team with ad hoc Africa Expansion reporting

  • Requirements
    • It is mandatory that you are still enrolled in a university or school program at the start date of the internship. Please note this is not a thesis-oriented internship but more to gain experience in a global work environment.
    • The candidate must be eligible to work in the EU
    • Start date: February 2020 ; Duration: 6 months

    • You have flexible attitude and strong work ethics
    • You have good understanding of PVH DNA and brand awareness
    • It is preferred if you have African experience
    • You are willing to learn and push your boundaries
