OnX is looking to engage with a Sr. SQL DBA - Cloud for a permanent opportunity with an end client of ours based in Toronto, ON.

 

 

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting database environments with extensive experience in developing and reviewing high availability designs

• Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures

• Maintaining data security, reliability and availability; capacity planning, usage monitoring and performance tuning

• Documenting database designs; assisting with testing; implements RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) into all environments and all other functions of a senior database administrator.

 

Must Have Experience:

• 10+ years as a DBA

• Experience deploying, managing and supporting SQL Server in hosted and hybrid cloud environments.

• Experience migrating existing SQL Server to host and hybrid cloud environments.

• Experience in one or more of the following operating systems:

• AIX/UNIX -

• Microsoft Windows Server -

• Red Hat Linux –

• Significant experience designing, implementing and supporting high availability and disaster recovery environments using SQL Server mirroring, clustering, etc.

 

Nice to Have Experience

• Certification in SQL

• DB2

• Oracle

• Informix
