Job Summary

The role of the Swissport Airside Trainer is to deliver training materials through provision of skills based sessions, one to one and small group learning sessions. The post holder will demonstrate a high level of organizational skill in ensuring that candidates are able to meet specified training hours whilst maintaining an individualized approach dealing with volumes of candidates.

The Swissport Airside Trainer will be organized and focused on adhering to processes and procedures that ensure that maximum performance is achieved and maintained.

The Airside Trainer will work with the Training Department and Airside Operations Management Team to ensure that courses are filled to capacity, to meet team performance targets, place people in sustained employment and/or training.

The role requires that the post holder works collaboratively with Station Coordinators whilst maintaining the values and professional standards of Swissport. It is expected that the Swissport Airside Trainer will hold or be working towards a recognized qualification in Teaching and Learning for Adults.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver specific Swissport training courses, assessments and refresher modules (Theory and Practical).
  • Provide GSE Operator checks and reviews during the ‘live’ operation
  • Develop Airside Staff in a process of continuous ‘Upskilling’
  • Assist Operation on the request of Senior Station Management team in peak days
  • Work with the KSA Training Department to ensure the course content is up-to-date to meet the need of Operations and the Swissport Quality Standards.
  • Think creatively about training content and methods with the opportunity to research and develop new material
  • Complete, Maintain and Administer Training Documents and Records of Training
  • Give and receive feedback about performance

Qualifications And Competencies
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • 3 years minimum experience in Ground Handling within the following areas (Operating GSE / Baggage Handling / Aircraft Loading)
  • 1 year minimum professional experience in Ground Handling Training
  • Strong attention to detail and service / support mentality
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build networks and relationships in a matrix organization
  • Self-starter and proactive approach in resolving problems and issues
  • Understanding of adult learning styles
  • Computer and internet skills, excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Must be willing to travel to other sites in KSA
  • Must hold KSA Driving Licence and Airport Driving Permit
