M&A Business Development Coordinator (Internship)

Our Mississauga office is looking for a Business Development Coordinator for our Mergers & Acquisitions team that is driven to perform, results-oriented and has a high attention to detail. The position requires an enthusiastic energetic self-starter with excellent social skills, and a warm and professional communication manner.

The Business Development Coordinator will represent the front-end of the Volaris acquisition process by identifying and contacting business owners to develop leads for potential acquisitions.

Being extremely organized and not letting details slip through the cracks is a must. You are a collaborative individual, who can work easily with a team.

Position Overview:

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the M&A deal team with the ultimate goal of acquiring Vertical Market Software (VMS) companies
  • Develop, maintaining and improve the quality of our Salesforce database of acquisition targets and contacts
  • Identify relevant industry events/tradeshows, in-person meetings for the purpose of prospecting new targets and renewing account protection
  • Support the corporate development team in ensuring the funnel of prospective targets is well-covered and work to identify creative ways to keep the funnel engaged, active and protected
  • Support the team on developing marketing collaterals and ad-hoc projects


Education and Experience:

  • Strong academic performance and attained a Business/Finance/Economics degree
  • Strong business acumen required to understand underlying business drivers and assess and qualify targets
  • Salesforce and digital marketing experience is an asset
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task between various on-going responsibilities to meet established deadlines are essential
  • A strong understanding of technology and the software industry
